We’re bringing THE GREEK GODS OF FINE DINING from Cookoovaya, Athens, to The Real Greek Bankside for ONE NIGHT ONLY!

We are teaming up exclusively for one night only with Greece’s finest chefs from Cookoovaya, one of the most talked about restaurants in Athens. The Real Greek at Bankside is thrilled to be able to bring the Cookoovaya experience to London and welcomes chefs Spyros and Vangelis Liakos, Pericles Koskinas, Nikos Karathanos and Manos Zournatzis – ten pairs of hands and eyes – to cook up ‘Wise Cuisine’, a four-course gastronomic feast to excite the taste buds.

This special evening on Tuesday 19 April from 7.30pm onwards will be hosted by Tonia Buxton the face of Greek food in the UK and presenter of the award-winning ’My Greek Kitchen’ TV series. Reservations for this exclusive evening are essential (full details below).

Diners will be treated to a ‘sharing’ menu to comprise of deconstructed Greek Salad, Grilled Octopus with Saffron Skordalia, and a Cauliflower Salad as the first course followed by Fasolada with Fried Cod and Tarama, Orzo (Kritharki) with Wild Fennel and Botarga, Smoked Eel with Cured Pork and Fava. The second course will be Grilled Lamb Cutlet with Trachana and Greek Yoghurt plus Rooster Pastitsada served with Crispy Potato Cake and Graviera Cheese. Finally a Greek pastry Bougatsa for dessert, all washed down with specially selected Greek wines and plenty of Greek ambience!

The Cookoovaya Restaurant in Athens is a place to ‘see and be seen’ and adored by celebrities, locals and visitors. Collectively these five chefs are known throughout Greece for putting an abundance of conscious thought into creating a beautiful, weighted and measured fine dining experience using the best ingredients Greece has to offer.
